1 · Who this applies to
This policy covers visitors to this website and people who submit an enquiry through the contact form. DigitalArmy is the responsible party for the information described here, under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
2 · What we collect
When you submit the contact form we collect the information you provide: your name, work email address, company, and the description of the process you would like to scope. We also collect limited, aggregate analytics about how the site is used, described below. We do not ask for, and you should not send, special personal information through this site.
3 · Why we process it
We process enquiry information on the basis of legitimate interest under POPIA — specifically, to respond to a business enquiry you have chosen to send us, and to prepare for a possible engagement. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
4 · Cookies & analytics
The site uses a small number of cookies and one third-party tag. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure the performance of our professional campaigns; it is set by LinkedIn and subject to LinkedIn’s own privacy terms. Analytics are aggregate and are recorded when an enquiry is submitted, to count and understand demand.
You can opt out of the LinkedIn Insight Tag through LinkedIn’s advertising settings, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to submit the contact form.
5 · How long we keep it
Enquiry submissions are held only for the duration of the conversation and any resulting engagement, and are then deleted unless we are required to retain them by law or a contract you have entered into with us.
6 · Your rights
Under POPIA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about this policy, contact the firm through the form on this site; we address the organisation rather than naming individuals as contact routes.
7 · Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change, and revise the date at the top of the page on each update.
